With the help of our volunteers, donors, artists, sponsors, and attendees, the 2014 Far West Fest was a great success. We were able to support ten important non-profits doing great work in our communities.

“Good times for the Greater Good” ©. The Far West Fest raises money for the community by way of multi-generational, environmentally responsible celebration of music, arts, food, and culture.

Far West Fest, the only festival of its kind in Marin County = Community and Good Times. Since it’s inception in Point Reyes nine years ago, the event has raised over $250,000 for local charities. The location, at the grassy, green Love Field, is nestled at the foot of the Inverness Ridge, within easy walking distance of Point Reyes Station.

The FWF Hosts Three Stages, offering an original lineup of blues, funk, soul, rock, folk, electronic, bluegrass and world music. We feature internationally touring acts and local favorites.

Past Far West Fest performers have included:  The Pimps of Joytime, El Radio Fantastique, Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Camper Van Beethoven, New Monsoon, Hot Buttered Rum, Sambada, Poor Man’s Whiskey, Vinyl, John Doe, Get Set Go!, Honey Dust, Jerry Hannan, The Wronglers, Beso Negro, Larkin Gayl, Tim Cain, Lyrics Born, Sean Hayes, Albino, Red Meat, Arann Harris, The Mother Hips, Monophonics!, New Mastersounds, Zion I, Jazz Mafia, Sage, The Sam Chase, Shotgun Wedding Quintet, Victoria George
, Materialized, La Gente, Zigaboo Modeliste, and many more…

Beneficiaries include: West Marin Community Services (including the organic food bank) KWMR Community Radio, The Tomales Bay Youth Group, The Lounge, Loft, and Bo-Stin Youth Centers, Papermill Creek Children’s Corner, and more. Detailed Beneficiary Info below.
